In this Telford living room transformation, the client aimed to convert a partially plastered space into a sophisticated, welcoming environment. The “before” image reveals a freshly plastered ceiling and walls with furniture protected, indicating a work in progress. The client envisioned a modern yet cosy living space, enhanced with neutral tones and stylish fixtures.
The project began with preparing the newly plastered surfaces for painting. Using Festool sanding equipment with dust extraction, we smoothed out any minor imperfections on the walls and ceiling, creating an ideal base for the primer. This careful preparation ensured a flawless, long-lasting finish, especially on a large surface area where light reflections could reveal even the smallest imperfections.
For painting, we selected a warm, light grey tone for the walls, which provides a subtle contrast with the white ceiling and trims, adding depth and elegance to the room. Using the Graco airless sprayer, we achieved a seamless, smooth coat without visible brush strokes, ideal for creating a professional, uniform look across expansive surfaces. The light grey hue complements the natural light entering through the large window, enhancing the room’s spaciousness and airy feel.
The ceiling fixtures and wall sconces were installed to add modern charm and functionality, with the metallic accents in the lighting providing a stylish contrast against the neutral background. The furnishings, including soft grey sofas and neutral drapes, further enhance the cosy, sophisticated atmosphere, creating a harmonious blend of textures and tones.
The client was thrilled with the transformation, noting how the space now felt both stylish and comfortable, perfect for relaxation and entertaining.
