In this Telford bathroom project, the client sought a seamless and fresh look, focusing on updating the ceiling to complement the clean, modern aesthetic of the tiled walls. The bathroom ceiling, previously unfinished, needed preparation and painting to match the sleek appearance of the rest of the space.
We began by carefully covering and protecting the existing tiles and fixtures, including the shower area and patterned feature wall, to ensure no paint splatters or dust would affect them. Using professional masking techniques and materials, we created a safe work zone that allowed us to focus solely on the ceiling.
The ceiling was then prepped using Festool sanding equipment with dust extraction, which helped smooth out any surface imperfections while keeping the workspace clean and free from dust—essential in a bathroom environment where hygiene is paramount. This step ensured a flawless foundation for the paint application.
For painting, we applied a moisture-resistant white ceiling paint, chosen to withstand the humid bathroom conditions and prevent issues like mildew or peeling. Using our Graco airless sprayer, we achieved a smooth, even coat that matched the crisp lines and bright finish of the wall tiles. This approach minimized the risk of streaks or uneven patches, which can be more noticeable in a room with high light reflection from tiles and mirrors.
The client was delighted with the final result, noting how the freshly painted ceiling elevated the entire room, making it feel brighter and more cohesive.
